Major National Banks Offering Money Services Business Checking Accounts MSB's

Do you own a business which is considered a MSB or money services business? If so you're probably already well aware what a challenge it can be finding a bank who will accept or allow a MSB or money services business to have an account with them.

Large National Banks With MSB Divisions

For years now MSB's have been unfairly shut out of banking. In the past few years it's gotten even worse with many banks outright refusing to bank MSB's or money services businesses.

You will most likely have your best luck and best chance finding small local credit unions and community banks, however if you've called everyone in your area and still havn't found a bank willing to take on your business you may want to check with a few of these large national banks which you will be more likely to have in your area.

2. Fifth-Third Bank

3. MB Financial

These banks listed above are larger national banks which you should likely have in your area. These banks are very conservative and very picky about who they will allow in. Part of me wonders if they even take on MSB's or are simply doing lip-service saying they do, however if you've exhausted all other resources it can't hurt to give these a try.

In my personal experience US Bank completely blew me off. Fifth Third bank was helpful and actually tried to get me an account, however in the end we weren't approved for vague reasons. MB Financial was also very helpful and the manager of the bank was very friendly, however again we were unable to get an MSB account at MB Financial.
